Aernoudt Knecht
Founder of Trance Movement International, psychologist with over 20 years of experience in meditation, trance techniques, and somatic therapies.
Aernoudt Knecht is internationally known for his work as a teacher and facilitator of trance dance, and serves as the lead trainer for most of the workshops, retreats, and trainings offered by Wellspring Academy across Europe and other regions of the world.
Aernoudt has over two decades of experience in psychology, meditation, trance and somatic therapies, and coaching. During his formal education (MSc Psychology, Radboud University), he specialized in the psychology of culture and religion. Since then, he has studied with various traditional and modern healers and teachers.
What makes him unique as a teacher is his deep insight into the transformative power of the practices he shares. With over 20 years of field experience, Aernoudt is a true master of his craft, bringing a wealth of knowledge, passion, and unmatched expertise to every session.
“If you want to live as your most authentic self, and as a vital expression of life, then — along with having a clear vision and strong intention — surrendering to what unfolds is essential.”
“Breath, rhythm, music, movement… are gateways to an infinite source of inspiration and creativity. The void, in darkness, is an ocean full of ancient memories and endless possibilities.
In trance, we shift — from moving to being moved, from dancing to becoming the dance.”
