Mosaic course

Shards bring happiness

Discover the decorative and artistic uses of the mosaic. You’ll learn the basic skills of creating a design, cutting tiles, cutting, pasting and adding. During this weekly course, you can create a wall object, mirror, picture frame, glass mosaic, or edit a bowl or tray. A lot is possible with the mosaic technique.

You can bring one or more objects from your home that you want mosaics. On the course, ready-made scales in different sizes are present. But also wood plates and mirrors that can be sawn and cut in a self-designed shape. You can also bring your own mosaic item to the course. This way you can create your own wall mosaic, frame or mirror. Afterwards you go home with one or more beautiful pieces of work.

Weekly format

You start by clarifying your interests. You orient yourself by using the present footage and start with a brainstorming and sketching phase. The first day is all about your design, the choice of colour and learning to work with the different tools for cutting and cutting mosaic tiles. Throughout the week, 10 parts of the day can be worked under supervision. The last day you will add your workpiece with white or colored joint. This is always a surprising moment, because only then will the end result become visible. The week ends festively with an exhibition of the work made.

You can take the course in the Sadhaka Combiweeks Yoga and Creative and Art Weeks.
