HEALING TOUCH

How can Sadhaka best contribute to your well-being, during this time of new challenges?

Holding this wish in our minds, our ‘Art of Touch’ Festival was born. A week full of massage and connection, through touch to create healing and general well-being.

10 massage teachers with a package of activating, relaxing, healing massages… 65 participants…. Six daily workshops to choose from. Energetic massages, Tantric massages, massage therapy. Self-massage, duo-massage, multi-hand massage. From relaxing to intuitive and holistic. Sometimes technical, sometimes surprising, sometimes intuitive, sometimes painful, sometimes ecstatic, sometimes release, sometimes strenuous, always inspiring, always educational, always healing, always innovative and ultimately relaxing.

The festival will take place in a wonderful holiday setting in the peaceful nature of the Sadhaka domain in the heart of France. There will also be various extra activities taking place in the morning and evening. All this to increase your life energy, fill your heart, connect your body and mind and bring it into a state of flow.

Because… massage is just pure enjoyment!

A massage can have so many benefits! By massaging muscles you ensure good blood circulation. The number of blood cells in your body increases measurably and the muscles become more flexible. Waste materials are removed more quickly so that the body can recover more quickly after a period of stress, illness or exertion, and return to balance. It strengthens your immune system, and that is so necessary in these times! Your blood pressure will become lower as you become calmer and breathe deeper and steadier. This makes you feel relaxed. It boosts your mental well-being and improves your overall health. So now imagine what a boost you will give yourself by immersing yourself in touch and connection with massage for a whole week!

Love love love comes through all the cracks. It flows out, in and beyond… From the source and back. Thank you for your energy, connection and this beautiful place.

An extra dose of happiness

Massage reduces stress. It has been scientifically proven that massage reduces the production of the stress hormone cortisol and activates all kinds of other substances that make us more productive.

Massage increases the feeling of happiness through the production of happiness hormones in the brain, the ESDOs for short. A special group of hormones of which the four most important are: Endorphins, Serotonin, Dopamine and Oxytocin. Each of these four hormones provides a special kind of happiness.

SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN: MASSAGE MAKES YOU HEALTHIER

The results of a groundbreaking study into the effects of massage were recently published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. Conclusion: massage really makes you demonstrably healthier!
Thanks to massages you get sick less quickly because of the positive effects on the immune system and physical illnesses caused by stress also have less chance. Psychological complaints such as anxiety and stress are also reduced or prevented. The results of the scientific research are very clear; Massage is an effective way to promote both mental and physical health.

Some reactions from participants who followed a massage week at Sadhaka

Amazing… the flow and ease with which you give everyone the feeling of Coming Home. I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere, the group, the safety, the framework and the expertise of your guidance. An experience to cherish… Thank you! – Ann T.

What a week, what a time. I have felt, felt, felt a lot. Beautiful people, nature, delicious food. What more could you wish for? We fulfill wishes at home. I see my life a bit in the Sadhaka light now. – Stijn

I really thought Johan’s massage course in France was fantastic. I’m very practical, so I loved that we got started right away. The practice sessions soon got me into my body. The group slowly grew into a warm place where we could be together with a smile and a tear. Staying at the center of Sadhaka completed it all, an ideal combination I would say. All in all, the course brought me a lot of things: relaxation and flow in my body, connection with my partner and other people and nice tools to give more attention to giving massages in my individual sessions again – Wendy Doeleman

For whom

Everyone is welcome, because everyone can go a step further, whether you are just starting out with a massage or a seasoned masseur. You are welcome to come as a single or with a partner. Massage couples are made daily for the workshops.

The art of giving
Giving a massage is only partly technique. The most important ingredient is unconditional attention, awareness and love from the heart. Of course you need to know what you are doing, how you start, what the best poses are, and it’s nice to see demonstrations. You will get all of these, but the contact must come from within you and your heart. You will also be taken by the hand… to higher spheres. In this atmosphere you are completely present as a giver, and express your thinking and ego aimlessly, with unconditional and attentive presence for the other.

The art of receiving
Receiving a massage seems easier than giving, but nothing could be further from the truth. Can you completely surrender to the moment? And to what extent do you keep control? Are you present in a massage or are you fleeing to your head and away from your body? These are all situations that you can encounter in a massage, especially if you are touched on a deeper level. Can you allow that unconditional love and touch, or are there fears or pain in those areas? This festival offers a safe setting and an interesting playing field to explore freely.
